The difference between a Psychologist, Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist is the training and approaches they use. Psychotherapists use several talking therapies to assist in their work similar to Psychologists. Psychologists, however, have a degree and often a Masters or Doctorate in Psychology, they also tend to use psychometrics to support their approach. Psychiatrists are trained medical doctors who have gone on to specialised in mental health; they are also able to prescribe medication. Here at the Bloomsbury Therapy Practice, we are highly qualified Psychologists, we are accredited or members of a UK regulatory or governing body. Are the sessions confidential?
